Reason for Hope and VMHLC Provide Response to HRSA’s RFI Regarding Workforce Training and Care Delivery Models for Psychedelic Therapies

The Health Resources and Services Administration, an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, issued a Request for Information (RFI) to gather public comment on workforce training and care delivery models for administering potential future FDA-approved psychedelic therapies in ambulatory clinical settings.

In their 20-page response, Reason for Hope and VMHLC emphasized: "The task is not to choose between rigor and compassion, safety and access, human care and technology, or fidelity and innovation. It is to build systems capable of holding these priorities together. Standards should be rigorous enough to protect patients, proportionate enough to remain feasible, flexible enough to evolve with evidence, and humane enough to recognize what treatment asks of people living with serious illness."
